Current Events, District Club's Activities, and Organizations supported by District Lions Clubs will be maintained on this page.  Club activities will be placed on this page a minimum of two months prior to the event and removed at the end of the month in which the event occurs.  Clubs are encouraged to submit information to the District Webmaster at dist2e1@lions2e1.org as early as possible.  Check this page often for updated information.

District Governor's Contest - Monthly Activity Report
2011-2012

The District Governor's Monthly Contest Report that is downloadable from this site to report the Club's Monthly Activities has been modified to a "Form Fill" format.  The downloadable PDF file can be downloaded at the following link:  Download .

Once the form is filled-in while viewing the form in Acrobat reader it can be printed and mailed to the District Governor. 

Or, Print the form using the CutePDF Writer  printer driver to create an Acrobat Reader .pdf file.  Save respective file to hard disk and attach to an email to appropriate District Officers.

Website Update

The District 2-E1 Website has been partially updated to reflect the 2011-2012 information about District and Club officers, the District Calendar, and information about different District sponsored contests. The information is a compilation of club submitted PU-101 Forms and emails from individual clubs and Lions.  The Clubs page is still being updated.

This same information is included in the District Governor's Directory for 2011-2012.  The on-line version of the 2011-2012 directory can be downloaded from District website newsletter page or from the following link: http://lions2e1.org/dir2e1_1112.pdf

Request Cabinet Officers, Region/Zone Chairman, and each club officer review the updated information on the District 2-E1 Website - District Cabinet and District Clubs pages.  Provide corrected or updated information to District 2-E1 at dist2e1@lions2e1.org or by using one of the update forms on the District Website - District Cabinet and District Clubs pages.

First District 2-E1 Cabinet Meeting 2011- 2012
July 16, 2011
Graham, Texas

The First 2011 District Cabinet Meeting will be held in Graham, Texas on July 16, 2011.  Newly appointed Cabinet members, newly elected Club Presidents, and newly elected Club Officers will be introduced. Training for new Officers will be available.

Our new District Governor, Lion Art Dearing, will present his agenda for this year.

PROPOSED CHANGES IN THE DISTRICT 2-E1 BY-LAWS

March 25, 2011

 

Add to Article VI District Administrative Fund, the following

Section 1a.  Campus Clubs will be billed semi-annually one half the amount billed to a regular club in accordance with State and International policy.

Change the beginning sentence of Article VI District Administrative Fund,

Section 3, District Contest Funds to read as follows

Section 3. DISTRICT CONTEST FUNDS. Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000.00) annually of the District Administrative Fund shall be designated to be used to fund the scholarships for the ---------

This change is for clarification only and does not change the requirement for funding the various contests and is consistent with the remaining portions of that paragraph.

If approved, they will be incorporated in the District By-Laws effective April 29, 2011.

Texas Hall of Fame and Photo Contest

Attached are three pages about the Texas Hall of Fame and it should be self explanatory.  District 2-E1 Hall of Fame Nomination Guidance - PDF
I also have included an flyer from Lions International about the Lions Environmental Photo Contest.  This was in the last district newsletter but some information was left out and it is stated below.
 
The photo need to be mailed to DG Hugh E. Stroud, 1407 Crescent Dr., Graham, TX 76450 before December 29, 2010 for the district judging.  The chosen winner will be sent to the State for judging while the rest will be displayed at the District Mid-Winter Conference and then returned to the owner.  A 5 by 7 card need to be sent with the picture stating the Lions name, address, telephone number, and Lions club the lion belong to.  Also state on the card what category the picture belongs to.

2011 Haskell Lions Club's Warpath 5K Fun Run/Walk

Starting at 8 AM
